Teacher Appreciation Week is the perfect time to celebrate the hard work of exceptional teachers and to say thank you. Teacher’s Appreciation Week has been the celebrated during the first week of May since 1984 and is designated to honor teacher’s throughout the nation.
Teachers give us so much. And, though we know we can’t ever thank them enough, we can take a moment during National Teacher Appreciation Week to share our appreciation for the special educators in our lives.
You can join NEA and the National PTA in saying “Thank You” by sharing one of the following on social media during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-13:
- A picture of yourself with your favorite teacher, past or present;
- A picture of your child with his or her teacher;
- A picture of yourself holding a piece of paper with a simple message saying Thank You to a teacher and why you’re thanking him or her.
Be sure to use the hashtag #ThankATeacher when sharing.
