ANNpower is an initiative to provide leadership training to girls, empowering them to become the next generation of global trailblazers. The program is designed for girls who are in the 10th or 11th grade in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada. These are young women who are committed to reshaping the world for positive and sustainable change – the leaders of tomorrow!
To be considered, applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership and potential for creating innovative solutions to problems in their communities. They should also have a proven track record academically and an interest in extracurricular activities.
Girls may apply by Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:59 PM EST. A total of 50 10th and 11th graders will be selected as 2016 ANNpower Fellows for the ANNpower Vital Voices Leadership Forum,
The ANNpower Vital Voices Leadership Forum is a three-day leadership training in New York City from June 14-17, 2016. There, the ANNpower Fellows will obtain skills and networks to take on leadership roles in their schools and communities. They will also be mentored by global women leaders who are part of the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network, as well as executives from ANN INC.
After completing the leadership training program, the Fellows will have the opportunity to go back to their communities and create project that will affect change, using all that they learned at the Forum. Fellows will also be eligible later in the year to win project grants that will help put their ideas into action.
