High School Entrance Exams (HSEE)
Many private high schools require students to complete a High School Entrance Exam (HSEE) for acceptance, placement and even to determine scholarship eligibility. These schools include, but are not limited to Tower Hill, Tatnall, Wilmington Friends, and Sanford. Tests given for these schools include the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination) and SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). Back to Basics also provides preparation for entrance exams for other schools such as Ursuline Academy, Padua Academy, and Salesianum as well as local charter schools. No matter your goal, our test prep can help you get there.
Back to Basics’ experienced tutors provide tutoring prep specifically designed around each school’s testing criteria. No one has a better overview than us! We provide a thorough review of test content, test-taking strategies and test timing for the exam, along with essay prompts. Students will receive several practice tests to eliminate any confusion and surprises.
The prep is offered as a 28-hour package, administered over the course of 10 weeks. Be sure to check the target school’s website for test date(s), and schedule your child’s prep with our office in advance — allowing for a full 10 weeks of service.
Advanced Placement (AP) Tutoring and Test Prep
Back to Basics provides assistance to students taking rigorous AP courses, and can help prepare your student for the exam. Tutoring services are provided on a 1-on-1 basis.
