Your son or daughter may have his or her Freshman college classes selected, a fraternity or sorority in mind, and even a fluffy new dorm comforter… but, is he or she emotionally ready for college?
According to a recent survey of 1,500 college students conducted by the Jed Foundation, a nonprofit group that works to protect the emotional and mental health of students, the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, and the Jordan Porco Foundation, which aims to prevent suicide among students, a whopping 2 out 3 students said that they felt emotionally unprepared for college life.
If you have a son or daughter who will be leaving home for the first time this fall, please attend the FREE “College Preparedness from a Mental Health Perspective Workshop.”
