A huge THANK YOU goes out to the many tutors, teachers, and clients who joined the staff of Back to Basics Learning Dynamics and Back to Basics Private School to support The Governor Terry Children’s Shelter this holiday season. This is the only temporary sanctuary for dependent, neglected and/or abused children and youth in the state and these children are in the care of, or custody of, the Nationwide Division of Family Services.
The shelter provides emergency shelter, food, clothing and age-appropriate counseling to children ages 9 through 17. It also provides meals, recreational activities, supportive clinical counseling and transportation to and from school.
We hope that our donations will make the holiday season just a bit brighter for these children!
