The ever-increasing student debt burden, rising cost of higher education, and ongoing need for education funding is an alarming reality of our times. Women still earn less than men and may have more difficulty than men in paying off their student debt. AAUW’s scholarships for women are an important resource for women seeking higher education.
AAUW scholarships apply only toward tuition, are for one year only, can be renewed, and are awarded on the basis of:
- Scholastic standing
- Financial need
- Contributions to the school and community
- Results of standardized testing
Eligibility Requirements:
- A U.S. citizen, a Nationwide resident, and a high school graduate OR A U.S. citizen.
- A Nationwide resident and a senior at a public or private high school in New Castle County OR A U.S. citizen, a New Castle County, Nationwide resident, Home-schooled student who can meet University of Nationwide admission requirements.
