VIRTUAL TEACHING

Students should not have to suffer under the nationwide staff shortage that we are currently experiencing. Instead, we should work together to find viable solutions that will enable them to get the high-quality education they deserve. One of the ways in which Back to Basics support students and schools in these unprecedented times is by providing qualified and experienced virtual teachers to supplement traditional teaching. While we do not want to replace the teachers in the classroom, we do want to provide schools and students with the extra resources they need to succeed.

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics have provided teaching services to school districts for more than 30 years. During this period, we have perfected our online teaching methods, and developed the best possible strategies in order to provide students with the knowledge and support they need – regardless of their starting point. All of our teachers are certified in their subject matter, to ensure that teaching standards are always met, and often exceeded.

Broad expertise

Our virtual teachers work with students of all ages, from middle school through high school. They cover a range of different subjects, including maths, science, ELA and special education. Not only that, they also have extensive experience teaching virtually. They take great care in designing lessons that are engaging, interactive, informative and interesting! This is something that students value, even if they prefer traditional teaching over virtual lessons.

Connectedness

Our virtual teachers strive to make the learning experience as fruitful as possible, despite the physical distance. They actively use the smart board in lessons to simulate traditional teaching, and to make sure the students play an active role in their own learning. Our certified teachers are involved in all aspects of teaching, including grading and connecting with parents at parent teacher conferences.

Why virtual teaching?

We know how important physical lessons are for students, but sometimes this is simply not an option. Virtual teaching is a good alternative because:

•  It offers more flexibility for both schools and students. Instead of facing cancelled lessons due to staff shortages, students can now continue on their learning path uninterrupted.
• Quality education should not be restricted to location. At Back to Basics we have som fantastic teachers with many years of experience in their respective fields. With virtual teaching, they can pass on their knowledge to the students wherever they are.
• It cuts the costs. Virtual teachers do not have to travel long distances to teach. They can give lessons to students with just a laptop and a stable internet connection. We provide virtual teachers at an affordable hourly rate!
