Did you know? The number of Student Veterans on college campuses is growing.
In 2009, there were approximately 500,000 Student Veterans receiving education benefits. By 2013, that number had grown to over 1,000,000!
Veterans are using their GI benefits to pursue advanced educational opportunities. And, active duty military service members and veterans have a wide range of military scholarship and grant opportunities available, as well.
According to the National Institution for Education Statistics (NCES), the average amount of financial aid received by military undergraduates for the last reported year (2008-2009) ranged from $4,500 for those attending a public two-year school, to $13,500 for those attending a for-profit college.
Scholarships for Active Duty Military, Veterans and Dependents
Many opportunities are specific to a particular military branch or terms of service/operations. However, other scholarship opportunities are available across all five military branches.
