The scholarship is only open to entrants who are currently enrolled in high school or college and plan to pursue any type of post-secondary degree.
Eligibility
Prior video scholarship winners are not eligible, although previous entrants who did not win may participate again with new submissions. Void where restricted or prohibited by law. Anyone who is affiliated with the Sponsor as an employee, contract or regular, and their respective family members, is not eligible to enter.
How to Enter
- Entrants will record a video between one and two minutes in length explaining the reason you chose to pursue a legal career, and then publish that video to their personal YouTube channel.
- Next, entrants will title the video ”Riemer & Associates LLC 2016 Scholarship Contest” and include link to www.riemerlawfirm.com/in the video’s description.
- Finally, entrant will share their video to both https://www.facebook.com/RiemerAssociatesLlc and their own Facebook, Twitter, and other social media pages.
Parental Release
If entrant is under the age of 18, Sponsor must receive permission from a parent or legal guardian before entrant can enter the Contest. If the entrant who is under 18 wants to enter to win the scholarship, he or she must have their parent or legal guardian create a release form (including entrant’s name, parent or legal guardian’s name, address, date, and signature) and then must deliver that release form as a scanned document to the Sponsor’s email in order to be eligible.
Video Requirements
Any video submissions must be the original work of the entrant and never before posted elsewhere. Material included under the Fair Use Exception rule, like news reports, is acceptable to use in videos. However, the Sponsor does reserve the right to disqualify any submissions that are considered to utilize borrowed content excessively.
Video content must be in English. If any person whose likeness, voice, or name is shown or captured in the video, the entrant must gain the written consent of the individual, and if the individual is below the age of 18, the entrant must also obtain the consent of the individual’s parent or legal guardian as well. The entrant is responsible for securing all the applicable authorizations necessary to record, submit, and publish the video.
