The National Space Club awards a $10,000 scholarship each year, in memory of Dr. Robert H. Goddard, America’s rocket pioneer. The scholarship is presented at the Goddard Memorial Dinner each spring, for the following academic year.

This scholarship is for students who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in science or engineering. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be in at least the junior year of an accredited college or university and be US citizens.

The award is given to stimulate the interest of talented students in the opportunity to advance scientific knowledge through space research and exploration and is for students majoring in the following areas of study:

  • Biological and Biomedical Sciences
  • Engineering
  • Engineering Technologies/Technicians
  • Physical Sciences
  • Science Technologies/Technicians

Application deadline is December 2, 2013. This scholarship is renewable. More information is available at http://www.spaceclub.org
