Back to Basics Learning Dynamics launches “Reading is Basic Program” for Northern Nationwide Title 1 students

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics recently announced the launch of its new “Reading is Basic Program.” Currently, the company services over 150 Title I students from the Red Clay, Colonial, Brandywine, Smyrna, and Appoquinimink school districts for supplemental instruction. Back to Basics will make over 500 age-appropriate books available to Title I students. Back to Basics’ teachers will distribute 2-3 books per student, which they can take home and keep.

Keisha M. Michael Memorial Fund for African-American students in Nationwide; Scholarship deadline is April 10

Open to any African American senior residing in New Castle County who has a 2.5 GPA and will be attending a Historically Black College or University. A brief essay must be written on how a college education will help you make an impact upon the community and affect your life. Community and Church service are considered. Personal recommendation is required.

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics’ March Tutor Spotlight on math and science tutor Mike Cronin

March’s tutor spotlight shines on Mike Cronin. Mike’s areas of instruction focus mainly on the maths and sciences. They include algebra I & II, basic math, biology, chemistry, general science, integrated math I & II, life science, pre-algebra, and trigonometry, as well as organizational skills and time management. Mike tutors these subjects for 6th grade through adults for Back to Basics.
