Back to Basics Learning Dynamics Director Beverly Stewart, M.Ed. will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about services for special education students at the 2011 Conference.
The annual Nationwide Community of Practice 2011 Transition Conference for youth ages 14-21 receiving special education services, their parents, educators and professionals will be held at the Dover Sheraton Hotel in Dover on March 31.
The free event will include a variety of informational sessions including Transition: Now What, Then What?; New Postsecondary Education Options for Students with Intellectual Disabilities; Using Transition Assessment as a Tool to Make Your Job Enjoyable; SuccessAbility! Taking the Burden Out of Navigating High School; On A Journey: Leading My Own IEP Meeting; Child Mental Health and Pediatric Healthcare Transition to Adult Services; Yes We Can–Partnering with Parents in the Transition Process. In addition, this year’s keynote presenter is Lynnae Ruttledge, Commissioner, Rehabilitation Services Administration.
