This scholarship is for high school students who have completed a significant piece of work that falls into one of the following categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, music, philosophy, or outside the box.
Each submission must be an original piece of work recognized by experts in the field as “significant” and it must have the potential to make a positive contribution to society.
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be 18 years of age or younger as of October 1, 2014; there is no minimum age to apply. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents residing in the United States or stationed overseas due to active US military duty.
The Davidson Institute is looking for students whose projects are at, or close to, the college graduate level with a depth of knowledge in their particular area of study. This scholarship is not geared toward students at the novice level; see website for more details.
Davidson Fellows must be available to attend, with at least one parent or guardian, the awards reception and other recognition events to be held in October 2014 in Washington, D.C. (Travel expenses and lodging will be provided by the Institute.)
