1. It is preferred that candidates possess documentation to show proficiency in language other than English. If documentation is not available, candidates might be asked to complete a proficiency test.
2. Candidates MUST have at least 1 year of professional interpreting experience on their resume. Language proficiency alone is NOT sufficient. Volunteer interpreting for a school or church, or interpreting for family / friends in NOT sufficient.
3. Must be willing to get a background check.
4. Must be able to perform interpretations in a quiet environment free of distraction.
5. Must have reliable phone service for telephonic interpretations.
6. Must be comfortable with using computer camera capabilities to carry out video interpretation.
