The 14th Annual 2016 DE Numbers Bee, held at John Dickinson High School, has just concluded and was a great success. Not only did The Numbers Bee mascot, Buzz, make his debut, but this year included a record breaking number of participants.
84 students from 17 schools participated in the annual event, including, for the first time, representatives from Pennsylvania’s Garnet Valley School District. Students from grades 3-8 competed with their peers in a browser based tournament on the integer modules.

The 2017 DE Numbers Bee has already been scheduled for April 29, 2017. Some changes are in the works to make the event even more competitive.
Next year (and onwards) elementary school contestants’ competition will include integers, fractions and decimals. Middle school contestants will compete in integers, fractions, decimals and algebra.
